Enter an enchanting new world, where true love never dies....

Synopsis: Since a horrible accident claimed the lives of her family, sixteen-year-old Ever can see auras, hear people’s thoughts, and know a person’s life story by touch. Going out of her way to shield herself from human contact to suppress her abilities has branded her as a freak at her new high school— but everything changes when she meets Damen Auguste. Ever sees Damen and feels an instant recognition. He is gorgeous, exotic and wealthy, and he holds many secrets. Damen is able to make things appear and disappear, he always seems to know what she’s thinking— and he’s the only one who can silence the noise and the random energy in her head. She doesn’t know who he really is— or what he is. Damen is equal parts light and darkness, and he belongs to an enchanted new world where no one ever dies.

First of all, I never expected to take a big interest in the series. At first this book was just words on paper, flat and meaningless. However, this book took a turning point and it finally started to show its amusing side. And then it had me hooked. This book is a definitely a thrilling and a romantic ride. The romantic parts had me hooked at the edge of my seat. I lived the thrill and excitement of this book like it was happening to me. The most engaging part about this book is that every teenager would like to have an escape like the one Ever has. Like seeing peoples auras, hearing peoples thoughts, and not to mention she is living in a dream home. This book helps us see the difficulty of living in today’s world and finding ourselves. We can all relate one way or another with Ever.

(Yes, this book is very similar to Twilight, but later in the book it takes a different route and identity and develops its uniqueness from Twilight.)

Overall, The clever remarks, humorous dialogue, and the development of this book kept me entertained. Even though I didn’t like it at first it gets 4 stars, because I’m waiting for more in the 2nd book.
